Paper One

 Develop a specific thesis about a particular author’s poetry by analyzing 2-3 poems of the author. Must be written up to 4 pages long

Regardless of your choice, you must do or include the following in your paper:

1. Develop a controlling thesis

2. Analyze the elements of literature

3. Support your ideas with specific quoted evidence from the literature

4. Consider the socio-historical element in your ideas about the poems’ meaning

The three poem being discussed are "We Real Cool," "The Lovers of the Poor," and "The Bean Eaters." poems written by Gwendolyn Rivulets
