Watch the film A Beautiful Mind starring Russell Crowe, based on the real-life of a brilliant mathematician, John Nash.  You can find the film on youtube, netflix, and probably through a DVD rental store such as RED BOX.  As you are watching the film, make bullet-point notes on your impressions of the film regarding:

• Mental illness
• Stigma and mental illness
• The importance of social support for persons suffering mental illness
• Resilience, strength and dignity of persons suffering mental illness
• Social work values and ethics
• Human rights and social justice for persons with chronic and severe mental illness

Using your notes, post a very well- written response to the film in the FORUM summarizing your notes three paragraphs of  5-6 sentences each that are perfectly edited for grammar, spelling, and sentence structure.  Make sure your content is original and written with the view in mind that you will be working with individuals and their families impacted by mental illness in your career as a mental health professional.
