p-12 revision
Here are clear, explicit & detailed instructions for this assignment. Please be sure to ask for any clarifications IMMEDIATELY. This assignment needs to be completed in TWO DAYS.
For the following four lesson plans: from Day1 P12 Student LP Project to Day4 P12 Student LP Project, include these missing components, including but not limited to:
Each lesson must address the following skills:
- Integration of technology (e.g., Smartboard, Chromebook, computerized learning: i.e. Class Companion, Nearpod, Grammarly, Noredink, augmentative communication device: i.e. Ethos, Pathos, Logos, etc.) to enhance the learning of P-12 students
- Critical thinking demonstrated by P-12 students
- Problem-solving demonstrated by P-12 students
- Communication skills demonstrated by P-12 students
- Collaborative learning demonstrated by P-12 students
- Positive social engagement demonstrated by P-12 students
Each component should be highlighted on your lesson plan, so it is clear in the lesson how you are including/incorporating that skill. For example, if conducting a lesson using Smartboard, highlight "Smartboard" on the lesson plan and indicate "technology integration" beside it. If you are asking the students to work in a small group, highlight "small group" on the lesson plan and indicate "collaborative learning beside it." If you are asking questions that require critical thinking as part of the instruction, highlight the questioning on your lesson plan and indicate "critical thinking" beside it. Do the same for problem-solving, communication skills, and positive social engagement. In other words, make it very clear on the lesson plan where you are incorporating these skills. At least three skills should be included in each lesson plan, and you must provide evidence of all six skills across the semester.
English/Language Arts Content Connections
Each lesson should provide evidence of the integration of literacy skills across different subject areas. Regardless of the content that you teach, you need to plan for English/Language Arts Content Connections. If the content of lesson is in the ELA area, then make connections to other content areas (Math, Science, Social Studies, etc.,).
List and describe in the appropriate steps in the lesson plan, literacy skills that relate and will be incorporated in this particular lesson. What specific knowledge, skills, strategies, and attitudes do you expect students to gain in this lesson to demonstrate the integration of literacy skills across different subject areas? How would you support the reading and writing skills development across different content areas?
Collaboration with Student Support Service Providers
In each lesson you also need to:
List the support services and/or the support service providers available in your school or district that you are familiar with and will be relevant to support students in this lesson. (These may include reading specialists, academic counseling, graduation planning, college and career guidance, support with dual enrollment, AP and pathways, social-emotional support (non-clinical), speech language therapist, interpreter, etc.) Other appropriate support personnel, may include, but are not limited to, principal, general education teacher, counselor, school psychologist, ESOL teacher, gifted teacher, section 504 coordinator.
Discuss how collaboration with the student support service providers ensure that students receive appropriate services as they relate to this lesson. This may involve sharing information about the student's strengths and weaknesses, providing feedback on interventions, and monitoring the student's progress.
Thoroughly describe what you have learned about collaborating with students support service providers to ensure that students receive appropriate services as they relate to this lesson.
