Orientation and Onboarding
Option #1: Onboarding Visual Learners
As the Director of Training and Development, you are responsible for creating an onboarding program that discusses relevant organizational information and caters to the needs of your participants/learners.
Before onboarding occurs, the Assistant Director of Training and Development requires that all employees submit information regarding their learning system, as based upon the "What's Your Learning Style" assessment. It has been noted that the vast majority of participants within this onboarding program are visual learners.
Based upon the information provided, explain the following:
- What are some of the learning preferences associated with visual learners?
- What method(s) of conveying information would be most and least effective for this group of learners?
- Why is it essential to cater to the needs of learners?
