Steps:

· Access ProQuest Database

· Links to an external site.

· (need to use VPN, see below)

· Search historical magazines and newspapers (anything published in the 19th or 20th century) to find commentary on media

· Browse through many articles and then choose one article that provides a notable perspective about the impact of a media technology that was new at the time. It can’t just be an article about your technology, it needs to reflect or comment on the “newness” of the technology

· Click on the “cite” button, copy the citation (including author, title, source, date, and URL), and paste it in your document.

· Choose 3 relevant quotations from the article and paste them into your document.

· In a short paragraph (250-275 words), explain its perspective in relation to our class conversation about theories of technology.
