Online Research

 Your first activity is to do a Google search for Kanye West and then do a Google search for Taylor Swift.  You may want to put their names in quotes ("Kanye West" "Taylor Swift") - it will be good practice for later in the course when you will conduct Internet searches for yourself - but it is not necessary. 

As many studies have indicated, most Internet searchers do not navigate beyond the first page of resultsLinks to an external site..  With that in mind, please review only the first page of Google results for both Kanye and Taylor.

Open each web site on your first page of Google results for Kanye and do the same for Taylor.  Review the content you find for both of them.  What do you see?  What can you learn about Kanye and Taylor based upon these web results?  Take some notes and continue exploring until you’ve looked at every site on the first screen of Google results.

Now, based on the web results you found for each, write one paragraph (150 words max) outlining the online identity/reputation of Kanye West and write one paragraph (150 words max) outlining the online identity/reputation of Taylor Swift.
