The article 

you choose can be any topic that your find interesting that relates to how the 

past (history, traditions, memories) influences (or not) some place in contemporary South Asia

TYPE up the following on a piece of 

paper:

THE ARTICLE: 

(1) The Article Title, 

(2) the Source (publication or website name),

 (3) the Date that the article was published, and 

(4) the Author’s name (if available) of your News Article

(5) A good summary description of the main story of the article. This should be detailed enough that someone with no knowledge can understand why this article is important and interesting. 

About one paragraph (three to five sentences) should be enough.

(6) Describe why this is a good example of the theme: 

“The Past is the Present (but the Present is not the Past)”

. Again, this should be about one paragraph
