Objectives, Strategies, and Background Analysis
[ The introduction to the paper must be at least 5 sentences with 1 in-text citation, a fully stated purpose statement, and PICOT Question. In this section, introduce the topic to the reader. Indicate why the selected topic is important and why it is important to include objectives, strategies, and a background analysis as part of the project. Make sure the PICOT question is written as a quality improvement question, not a research question and that it contains all components of “PICOT”. End this section stating, "The purpose of this paper is ... ". *Remember: the purpose statement and PICOT question are separate; do not combine them as one sentence.]
Objectives
[Introduce the objectives using SMART objectives (Specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timeframe. This section should be at least one fully formed paragraph with 3-5 SMART objectives (at least 5 sentences in length for each paragraph) with at least 1 in-text citation. Introduce each objective using SMART format (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, Timeframe). Remember that objectives are what the population within your PICOT question will achieve. Utilize one of Bloom’s Taxonomy’s measurable verbs within your objective. Clearly state 3-5 SMART objectives for your project. Include at least 1 in-text citation.
Example starter sentence: “Three objectives were identified for this project proposal …”]
Strategies
[ Provide 2 strategies for each objective. What will you do to address the objectives? What will you do to create “improved outcomes”? Provide at least 3 fully formed paragraphs (at least 5 sentences in length for each paragraph) with in-text citations. Provide 2 strategies for each of your 3 objectives (total of 6 strategies). Restate each objective before the strategies are introduced. Strategies are nursing interventions that the person who is conducting the quality improvement project will do/provide for their population to help achieve their objectives.

Background Analysis
Conclusion
[ The conclusion to the paper is at least 5 sentences, summarizes at least 3 key points, and has 1 citation.] Summarize at least 3 key points from your paper. Do not introduce new information. Although not required, it is suggested learners restate the PICOT question in this section, so the reader is drawn to refocus on the project topic.]

It is acceptable to use previous references utilized in the Literature Review assignment, if they are current (less than 5 years old) and peer-reviewed.
