Case Study 1: Headache and Vision Changes
Chief Complaint
"I've been having bad headaches and sometimes see flashing lights."
History of Present Illness
A 28-year-old female presents with a 3-month history of recurrent headaches occurring 2–3 times per week. The pain is described as throbbing, located on one side of the head, and is often accompanied by nausea and light sensitivity. The headaches last several hours and are sometimes preceded by visual disturbances, including shimmering lights or zigzag lines. She denies trauma, fever, or neck stiffness. Stress and lack of sleep worsen the headaches. Ibuprofen provides partial relief. She denies weakness, confusion, or speech changes.
