Data Storytelling Stakeholder Presentation

Purpose

Demonstrate how data storytelling can be used to improve patient care and outcomes in nursing practice. Present your data story and presentation to the stakeholders.

Objectives

· Analyze the data provided within the dataset.

· Develop a narrative that integrates the data with a compelling story.

· Create a presentation that is clear, engaging, and effectively integrates the data and data visualizations

· Reflect on the learning process of creating your data story and application to nursing practice.

· Demonstrate competency by sharing your assignment pieces in an eportfolio submission.

It’s time to present your data story to the stakeholders.

Create your presentation and tell your story. Be sure to integrate your data visualizations within the presentation.

Create a PowerPoint presentation with the following slides. Include speaker’s notes and narration:

Slides:

· Title Slide

· Name, date, and clearly state the health issue and relevance

· Introduction to the study

· General description of the study

· Mean age and gender distribution

· List the mean age of the patients in the study

· Include your visual representation of gender (pie chart)

· Ethnicity distribution

· Include your visual representation of gender distribution (pie chart)

· Discuss implications of ethnic diversity in patient population

· Treatment type and HbA1c reduction

· Discuss the reduction of HbA1c for each of the 4 treatment types

· Include a screenshot of the table and the clustered bar chart titled “Sum of Change in HbA1c by Tx type” (located on sheet titled “Tx type and outcome”)

· Compliance and hospital admissions

· Discuss impact of compliance on the total number of hospital admissions using the data.
