1. Review the topic of Critical Thinking in your course resources (course textbooks and ATI text).

2.  Read the article, Critical Thinking:  The Development of an Essential Skill for Nursing Students.

3.  Create a discussion post and address all the of the following:

• Why is critical thinking important in nursing practice?
• Why is developing critical thinking and clinical judgment in nursing school important?
• Using nursing resources (course texts, ATI texts, and/or scholarly nursing journals) identify at least 3 strategies that will promote your development of critical thinking and clinical judgment.
• For each strategy, provide a rationale of why this strategy will be beneficial to you.  Consider your learning style, generation, any personal strengths/weaknesses and/or any personal struggles/barriers.
