 The lockdown that occurred, and in some places is still occurring because of Covid-19 has highlighted some of the stressors in nuclear families.  Explain how might each of the following characteristics of nuclear families be connected to the likelihood of domestic violence?

1. Before I get to the characteristics of nuclear families that might predispose them to domestic violence, please explain what a nuclear family is.
2. Ok, now to the characteristics. Are there power differences among the members of a nuclear family. If so, who has power, who doesn't, and how is power related to the possibility of domestic violence? Explain your response.
3. The nuclear family tends to be isolated - from whom or from what? How might isolation be related to the possibility of domestic violence? Explain your response.
4. Membership in a nuclear family is involuntary, not voluntary. What does this mean and how might it be related to the possibility of domestic violence?  Explain your response.
