Topic 2: Nurse Role

The role of the nurse leader is to promote EBP and maintain clinical practice based on evidence. This has been mentioned many times throughout the course. All nurses are leaders, so that includes you. There are many ways that the practicing nurse can participate in research. As you have progressed through the program and move closer and closer to that BSN degree, have you noticed any changes in yourself, your attitudes and behaviors? Have colleagues commented on changes they have observed? Describe the changes. What is your role relative to your colleagues who might not have gained the educational perspective that you have on research?
