Respond and summarize learning in this week 1

Thank you for your post. The rate of walk outs at the Chamberlain ER is a source for revenue loss and I look forward to seeing how your intervention of tracking technology will improve the quality of care given. Wait times within the ED is a problem nationwide with many interventions or opportunities for improvement, especially with all the technology in today’s world. The time from arrival to time being seen by a provider is and essential measure for patient satisfaction and efficiency of the ED (George et al., 2020).  I think that having a tracking system would greatly help improve care at the Chamberlain ED as patient flow does seem to be a major issue.  Within nursing, there sometimes can be resistance to change. Implementing this tracking system would be a change in the patient flow and impact nursing practice. Do you anticipate resistance to change among nursing staff and if so what strategies would you utilize to overcome them?
