Network Security Linux (Cybersecurity)

 This week's assignment addresses network security.  Our reading assignment is a good start on how to secure a Linux system against network attacks.  However, there is much that we can do in addition to what we have read.  In this forum, relate any best practices that you have experience with regarding Linux network security.  If you have no experience with best practices, use the text, the Internet, and other credible sources to locate some.  Summarize your research in your initial post.
