LDR 201 Essay Rough Draft

· Step One: Review the graphic organizer and rubric, located on the course main page. Remember that  you are NOT selecting a new topic for this paper

· TOPIC Chosen: the effectiveness of transformational leadership over transactional leadership in driving organizational success.

· Step Two: Begin writing your draft version. What you submit is  not an annotated bibliography and not an outline, but rather a research paper. Your completed LDR 201 Essay Draft must be written in essay format and follow MLA formatting. It will include a separate Works Cited page with at least six credible sources, have at least 750 words of text, and fully develop your approved topic from previous weeks. 

First, make sure to review the MLA formatting video (and other useful links found in the Student Resources and in our class) and follow these general formatting guidelines:

· MLA Format (including a separate Works Cited Page)

· Number of Paragraphs (minimum): 5 typed paragraphs

· Font Type: Times New Roman

· Font Size: 12 point

· Margins: 1 inch on all sides

· Spacing: Double-spacing

· Justification: Left (not full)

· Word Count (excluding the Works Cited page): 750 words

· Paragraph Indentation: Use the Tab key to indent all paragraphs one half-inch from the left margin

· First Page Heading: Your name, your instructor's name, the course number, and the date (day month year) left aligned 

· Step Three: Submit your Rough Draft Essay.

· Note: The LDR 201 Essay Draft should have a Turnitin Similarity Index of less than 20% after your Works Cited page is omitted. If your Turnitin Similarity Index is greater than 20%, you will be required to review and update your essay by paraphrasing the passages and/or properly quoting the source(s). Be sure to avoid lengthy quotations. You may re-submit your paper to Turnitin until your Similarity Index is less than 20%.

HSE 490: Week 5 Case Study

In a 300-word case study, assess critical infrastructure information (CII) discussed in our text. Explore the Freedom of Information Act from a national security perspective and detail its exemptions. Explain how sensitive information is protected from a homeland security perspective.

Use specific examples from our textbook. Your case study should be supported with properly APA formatted references.

Your essay should be 300 words in length. At least 1 reference should be used to support your main points (the textbook).  Quoted material should be avoided. Instead, please provide paraphrased research to support your main points that are accompanied with in-text references. Be sure to follow APA formatting guidelines. Your paper should contain section headings. Ensure that you provide an overview of each of the essay questions, which should be organized by associated bullet points.
