How are the creation stories of the Mayas, contained in the Popol Vuh, and of the ancient Hebrews, contained in the Genesis story, similar, and how are they different? Why do you think these societies needed creation stories?

Underline Popol Vuh since we consider this writing to be a book.  Remember that book titles are always underlined.  The most notable exception to this rule is the Bible.  We don't underline that that word if we are referring to the Hebrew or Christian religious scriptures.
