                                                CLASSMATE’S RESPONSE

My argumentative research paper is on “The Second Amendment and Gun Control”. One side states gun control is the way to reducing gun violence. The other side states that the right to bear arms shall not be infringed.

Tentative Thesis Statement:

The Second Amendment, as intended by our Founding Fathers, guarantees the right of the individual citizen to keep and bear arms; this right remains necessary today as a means of protecting the freedoms afforded us by the Constitution.

Again, I haven’t found any part of this process “easy”. Design is not excruciatingly difficult, it’s more about making the paper flow, and following the guidelines of the class. I am not confident about the progress of the paper, and consequently my ability in the class. I believe my thesis statement is adequate. I am hopeful for a positive outcome.
