Need help understanding a calculus problem
Hi everyone, I’m working through some calculus exercises and I’m having trouble understanding how to approach one of the problems. I know the basic differentiation rules, but I’m getting stuck when I need to combine the chain rule with the product rule. I’d appreciate it if someone could explain the steps and point out where I might be going wrong. I’m mainly looking for an explanation of the method so I can apply it to similar problems myself.
Problem:
Find the derivative of
f(x) = x² sin(3x + 1)
Thanks in advance for any help!
