Respond to a minimum of two of your classmates. Consider investigating how your peers might frame their questions for their evaluation to be culturally responsive. Additionally, dig deeper with responding to a peer to determine what role or roles stakeholders play in culturally responsive evaluations?
Each of your responses to your classmates should be at least 150 words in length, and include an APA formatted scholarly resource. In your response post, please provide a thoughtful reply to promote discussion, critical thinking, and class interaction, and provide an open-ended question for each of your colleagues.
DISCUSSION 1 (Stephanie)
The importance of incorporating cultural concepts into program planning and modification warrants that the program is appropriate and subtle to the diversity of different backgrounds and the needs and wants of individuals involved, providing equal access and opportunities to all individuals or groups, regardless of their differences or characteristics. Cultural concepts connect and echo the values, norms, principles, standards, and preferences, increasing the greatness of the program. The concept of culture relates to the colors of the rainbow that represent the different types of nationalists in the world. The term involves how we interact with one another, and societies, along with a person’s beliefs, and lifestyle promoting cultural understanding and appreciation. Integrating cultural concepts into the planning of a program greatly impacts the community meeting all requirements and needs for growth (Netting,2008).
Culture embraces a set of learned and shared behaviors, values, customs, and beliefs common to a particular group or society. Deeply, our culture defines and evaluates our identity in who we are (Fierson,2002).
Evaluating a program's inclusion or omission of cultural context assessment relies on analyzing through the lenses of different cultural backgrounds giving precedence to their needs. An evaluation is conducted by assessing impacts through the views and interpretations that respect the culture of whoever is involved as an extremely important entity, thereby challenging the idea that evaluations should be entirely objective and devoid of cultural influence to stay unbiased and culture-free.
One of the biggest approaches to evaluating a program is the assessment of the goals and objectives which reflects an understanding of the cultural context of how it operates. Another thing about evaluating a program proposal is to align the goals with the cultural values, beliefs, norms, and the group or society. Society is made up of a melting pot of different people. The demographics and the diversity of cultures can be overwhelming, and analyzing the data can sometimes cause disparities which can leave someone out of the evaluation results. Working with the program in my community
communication is a key factor when getting to know more about another person’s cultural sensitivity (Fierson,2002).
Designing a program with cultural sensitivity is an important factor in addressing cultural context within my Research Proposal this involves recognizing and respecting the diverse cultural backgrounds, beliefs, practices, and values of individuals or groups. It includes considering how culture influences perceptions, behaviors, and interactions in various contexts, and integrating this understanding into decision-making processes, policies, and practices to ensure fairness, inclusivity, and effective communication. By conducting a thorough evaluation along these dimensions, you can assess the extent to which a program incorporates cultural context and identify areas for improvement to enhance cultural inclusivity and effectiveness (Netting,2008).

DISCUSSION 2 (Deziembre) Culture is a very important component in the world today. Culture has become even more important in every aspect of our daily living. America has become a huge melting pot for every culture that exists. Being culturally aware and sensitive to the world that surrounds us is important and helps us understand how to reach an audience and helps us relate to the many different cultures we write and study. Understanding culture and being culturally aware helps keep research safe and can also aid one’s validity of their research. Understanding different cultures can also accompany one’s research and become more of where the research is more relatable as well as easier to piece the data together.
Cultural sensitivity can help with the evaluation process of a research project (Fierson 2002). The modification process of research can depend immensely upon cultural sensitivity. Evaluating the research helps the researcher stick to what is important. This allows the research to not just be considered research, in fact that will be meaningful and can be used to change some cultural issues.
In My own research project, I realize that I would have to be culturally aware that all cultures come from all walks of life and understand what difficulties that some cultures face, which could lead to some of the disparities that some cultures are faced with more so than some others. Designing a program that is culturally sensitive would be useful in understanding the data that is collected. Understanding culture allows one to plan the
for possible issues in the research process and will allow one to modify the research appropriately.
