If your colleague chose a method different from your own, how might your colleague’s description of its usefulness change your interest in the method?

My name is Cherryann M Johnson. I am from the most beautiful Caribbean Island which is Trinidad and Tobago. I met my husband who is a boat captain, and the rest is history. I reside in the deep south of Louisiana. I am a proud mother of three beautiful children. My first daughter is a senior who is a major in biology and getting ready to sit the MCAT examinations to go to medical school. and the middle is a boy who is a sophomore and plays football and the base in the orchestra at the high school. The last is the baby in the bunch is also a ninth grader in high school and is gifted in math, and English she also, plays the violin and the piano. I also have a fourth child who runs the household her name is "AKA Princess" she is my furry human dog and also therapeutic for my mental state. She doesn't answer back to her mom like the other three children in my household. I came over to the USA with an associate degree in marketing. but I started my BA in Applied Behavioral Science with an emphasis in Cognition studies with UAGC 2017, not knowing when you stop for a break to visit my mother every summer you are pushing back your graduation time. So, I buckle up and finished on December 19th of 2022. My hobbies are Shopping, working out, traveling, and cooking for my family. I am a special education teacher, and I must emphasize how important my students are to me. I build a relationship with their parents even though they may move on to other schools. It has two boys that are close to my heart one with blue eyes. He is the smartest autistic child i have ever come across and the others with green eyes are close to me at the school. I am also an advocate for the" CASA" which is a Court Appointed Special Advocate in my hometown. In the future, I would like to become a school psychologist or a Board-certified Behavioral Analyst. Working with people is my passion. I am looking forward to learning as much as possible about PSY:635 Research Design Methods is much needed in my profession when i am working with people. This course will be very informative to me in learning about Qualitative and Quantitative when i am working with people and different surveys of what and how people have different mental disorders and to do my research and implemented that plan. when i was eight years old. i had a head injury to which I was unconscious for a week. My mother told me i fell off a flight of stairs and burst open the back of my head. She took me to all the best specialists that she knows of to make sure that my brain was not damaged. I want to have a good knowledge and understanding when working with people who have brain disorders or children that are born with mental disorders. I am passionate about helping people. My daughter has anxiety and, I have vertigo it's also a mental disorder. I am studying to be a behavioral specialist/counselor and this will be very beneficial to me.

Classmate Discussion 1 (Tiairra)

My name is Tiairra McQueen I was born and raised in Washington D.C I am 40 years old and a single parent of one son. I completed my bachelor’s degree in 2019 in Applied Behavioral Science at Ashford University. In 2021 I became an entrepreneur of “Simply T” women’s plus size apparel and accessories. My passion is people I am a High School SPED co-teacher in District of Columbia Public Schools where I have been employed for two and a half years after completing my degree. I enjoy working with kids and individuals who cannot advocate for themselves. In working for DCPS it has been teaching me how to adapt and cope with kids with various mental illnesses and intellectual disabilities. For over 10 years before receiving my degree I was employed in the medical field as a Home Health Aide nurse, direct support professional and a relief counselor, my duties were to care for the elderly, disable, mentally ill children and adults I genuinely enjoy collaborating with people. I decided to pursue Psychology to learn more about what it truly is and how it works. This field of study will allow me to be a support not only to many people but to my family as well in different areas. Upon completion my goal is to work in a youth detention center to be able to fulfill the needs of kids that have lost their privilege to society.

I discovered a position in Correctional Psychology as a Deputy Director in Behavior Health when searching on the Psych Careers website. Looking over the job description, I discovered that I would need to obtain a license in the state where I intend to work and be able to provide sufficient transportation that is approved by the appointed authorities. Possession of a master’s degree from an authorized college or university in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a closely related field, as well as licensure as a Clinical Social Worker or Marriage and Family Therapist. And have six years of full-time, or equivalent, experience performing Clinical Social Work or delivering Mental Health treatment services, three of which must have included responsibility for both administrative and supervisory duties. My goal is to become a Correctional Psychologist across the world.

Because I intend to work with people who are experiencing mental health issues after I have finished my master's degree, the ultimate objective is to make sure that everybody has access to the knowledge and skills they require to carry out the activities of their daily lives on their own or with a minimum of support. However, I am more drawn to

research that employs a combination of methods because I am more interested in mixed methods research even though it is more laborious and time-consuming, it enables the researcher to combine the findings of several separate studies to arrive at the clearest and most insightful conclusions.
