Assume  the role of a police officer on patrol. You have been dispatched to a  high school, where a homeless man has camped in a vacant lot across from  the school property in a box. He does not bother anyone, but students  pass by him throughout the day on the adjacent sidewalk.  The lot is  county property. A school administrator has called the police and asked  that he be told to move. 

1. How would you handle this situation? 
2. Are there any community resources you can think of, that could assist such a person? 
3. Do you have a local homeless shelter? (Research the Internet to locate one; cite your source.)
4. Are there any religious organizations you could call? (Research the Internet; cite your source.)
5. If the homeless person refuses to leave, how will you use your discretion?
