Evaluation Findings and Interpretation
Once the evaluation has been completed and the findings have been presented, stakeholders will respond to the findings. This response is an important part of the evaluation process. At times the response will require the evaluator to reframe the findings to address stakeholder concerns.
Imagine the evaluation findings are not well received by your selected nonprofit’s board members and executive director.
1. What can you now do as an evaluator to change the initial reaction to the findings?
2. Should you ever change the results of the evaluation based on stakeholders’ reactions to findings? Why or why not?
3. Could you have done anything to avoid such a negative reaction?
