Choose two of these stories and compare how they use fiction to critique a societal norm or value. Be sure to:

• Identify the setting and the stakes of these alternative societies. Are the dystopian, utopian, how do they look like our own world or not?
• Identify the myth or assumption about our own world that each story is confronting (for example: “violence brings order").
• Use at least one direct quote from each story to support your interpretation.
• Explain how the stories made you feel: Disturbed? Empowered? Conflicted?
