2. Singer-songwriters are seen as the antithesis of theatrical rock. What style (or styles) are they influenced by? How do they turn lyrics into their own visuals? Use examples from both England and the U.S.
3. Country rock rose in popularity in the early 70’s and seemed to fizzle out by the end of the decade. Given the examples of artists covered in the book, how much “country” needed to be incorporated to garner this moniker? How does that sound compare to country music of today? Cite some examples.
