In tough economic times, it is difficult for employers to increase pay. However, compensation professionals can still use some basic rewards tools to keep employees engaged and appreciated.

In this assignment, you will use what you have learned from your readings so far in the course to research a current organizational rewards system and analyze its effectiveness.

Tasks:

Create a 2- to 3-page paper, covering the following:

• Describe an example in which the organization's rewards system was not in alignment with organizational goals and objectives; for example: firing employees that make mistakes during the problem solving phase is in direct contrast to an organizational goal of innovation and creative problem solving.
