Psychosocial
Psychosocial Dimensions Project
- Select one individual to focus on as part of your case study. You may select yourself, someone you know personally, a current or former client, a celebrity, historical figure or fictional character. Select a different individual for each dimension.
- Create a visual representation of the psychosocial factors which have the greatest influence on that person’s behavior. Illustrate how and why that dimension’s factors may have such a strong influence upon this individual, and how these factors interact with other dimensions. You may create the visual representation using electronic graphic design tools or as physical media from a handmade collage from magazine images. Each visual representation must be submitted electronically via Blackboard. If you choose to create your product using physical media, upload a photograph as your assignment submission. It’s not necessary to submit the physical product (the picture uploaded must clearly exhibit the assignment).
- You will add a statement to accompany your product, which responds briefly to the following questions in 300 words or less total.
o How did you create your visual representation? What tools did you use?
o What person did you select for your product and why?
o How does your visual representation depict the biological (or psychological, psychosocial, spiritual) factors influencing the behavior of the person you chose?
o How does your visual representation depict the interaction between the biological factors with factors from other dimensions of the biopsychosocial-spiritual framework?
o What theory or theoretical perspective best explains the person's experience with regard, to relevant factors in this dimension?
