Motivation Assignment - due in 24 hours

Instructions for the assignment:

Take some time to think about how you are motivated?  Read through the different theories on motivation.  Answer the following questions.

1. Are you more extrinsically motivated or intrinsically motivated? Explain and give an example.
2. Would the Hawthorne Effect work for you as an employee. Explain why or why not.
3. As a manager, would you consider yourself to be McGregor’s Theory X or Theory Y? Explain.
4. Adam’s Equity Theory discusses treating employees fairly. How would you feel if you performed the same amount of work as someone with more years of experience, but he or she was paid more than you? Would you approach your supervisor about this dilemma? Explain.

Once you have answered these questions, put together a business write-up (essay) in a Word document.
