The U.S. spends the most on healthcare of all the wealthy nations, yet has the worst overall healthcare outcomes. Many of the higher-ranking countries tend to focus more on holistic health—treating the patient’s mind, body and spirit.  

In your initial posting, analyze why the U.S. ranks so low compared to other countries. Explain how economics, culture, ethics, and religion impact U.S. healthcare from a patient perspective and from a healthcare organization perspective. Discuss whether you feel the U.S. should take a more holistic approach.
