Introduction:

The mission and vision statements are important elements in the strategic planning process. Without having an understanding of where an organization is in the marketplace, it is challenging to align itself competitively into the future.

In this discussion, you will explore the mission and vision statements of healthcare organizations in your community. Likewise, you will use the information gleaned from this week to develop an original mission statement and vision statement for a hypothetical healthcare organization that you intend to introduce into a specific marketplace. Finally, in an effort to apply the objectives from this week into your professional career, you will develop a personal mission statement.

Tasks:

• After researching two similar healthcare organizations in a specific geographic location, discuss the similarities and differences between their mission and vision statements.
• Develop a mission statement and vision statement for a hypothetical healthcare organization that you aim to develop in your community.
• Develop a personal mission statement that includes your core values, academic and professional goals, strengths, and dreams for your future.
