In some situations it would be better for a drug to be bacteriostatic/microbiostatic rather than bacteriocidal/microbicidal?  List at least one condition  in which bactericidal antibiotics may actually worsen symptoms and  explain why  it is important to know the difference between these mechanism of actions for antimicrobial drugs.
