Instructions: Healthcare Financial Management and … This Week, you will need to analyze one of the several healthcare payment policy initiatives undertaken since the 1980s with the goal to control costs, without negatively affecting quality or access. Examples of these initiatives include Prospective Payment System (PPS), Diagnosis Related Group (DRG)­based reimbursement, bundled payments, and population­ based payment. 

You will explain the initiative, where the initiative has been implemented, and how successful the initiative has been in achieving its goals. 

Length: 5­7 pages, not including title and reference pages. Resources: Include a minimum of 5 scholarly resources. You may use an example from your work as long as you can also reference the example to the articles. 

Your assignment should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course by providing new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your response should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards.
