Memo to Successor

According to Bolman and Deal (2017), "Successful change requires an ability to frame issues politically, confronting conflict, building coalitions, and establishing areas for negotiating differences into workable pacts" (p. 376).

For this 1 page discussion, write a memo to the imaginary successor for your position at the university. Describe in detail what it would take to thrive as a political leader at your university or in your school within the university. Be specific about working within the organizational system and with particular colleagues. What is the source of political power in your organization? Is the political environment in your organization a positive or negative force?
