Medicaid expansion

Compare and Contrast Medicaid Expansion in 3 States - 20% This Assignment includes 3 tasks:  • A Compare & Contrast of 3 Medicaid expanded states,  

• Noting changes and updates to the Medicaid Program in those 3 states, and  

• Drafting a Policy Memo to the Governor regarding Medicaid expansion in TX.   Under the Affordable Care Act and with clarification from a June 2012 Supreme Court Decision, states may opt to Expand Medicaid to include individuals at 138% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) and under age 65. 

Philosophical, political, and budgetary considerations weigh heavily on a state’s decision to or not to Expand.
