• Open a WORD file and save it as Lastname_Firstname_Chapter6_Project. Note the Lastname and Firstname is your Lastname and your Firstname.
  1. Define input and input devices.
  2. Describe the different types of keyboard, pointing, scanning, image capturing, and audio-input devices.
  3. Define output and output devices.
  4. Describe the features and different types of monitors and printers.
  5. Do you already use a communication tool that lets you keep in touch with your friends and family? Review the Making IT Work for You: Skype on pages 157―158, and then respond to the following: (a) Have you ever used Skype or a similar service? If so, what service have you used, and what do you typically use it for? If you have not used Skype or a similar service, do you expect to in the future? Why or why not? (b) If you do not have a Skype account, create a free one, and add one of your classmates as a contact. Try a few of Skype’s features after connecting with your classmate, and then describe your experience with those features. (c) Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of using Skype or a similar service for communication.
