Managing Emotions

Emotional Intelligence, something we don’t talk about enough, and what is often not practiced. A necessary skill for survival in relationships of all kinds.After viewing the video on Emotional Intelligence, and taking notes, consider the following questions and then write your response using examples to illustrate your points.

1. How does the absence or presence of emotional of intelligence affect interpersonal communication?
   
2. Can and should emotional intelligence be taught and by whom?  
3. Are IQ and EQ mutually exclusive? Give examples and support your points.  

Please note in order to score the highest possible points, your initial assignment response must contain:

• 100-150 words in two paragraphs with 
• A clear introduction, thesis, main points and supporting material from the reading AND the videos.  
• You must respond throughtfully with at least three sentences to the discussion board posts of at least two other classmates.
  • Choose one student that you agree with and tell why.
  • Choose another student that you disagree with, or who has a different perspective from yours, and tell why.
