Short-Term Goals
Short-term goals are specific milestones of progress on your way to achieving your company’s vision. Short-term goals are extrapolations of the Strategic Objectives. They are also SMART goals.
a. Specific – goals need to be specific answering the questions how much and what kind
b. Measurable – they must be stated in quantifiable terms.
c. Attainable – they must provide a stretch that challenges people but attainable so they do not discourage.
d. Responsible – The goals must be assigned to a person or a department who is responsible for their achievement.
e. Time specific – Goals have to include a timeline for accomplishment.
Task: Read the Lewis-Clark Valley Project Strategic Plan Executive Summary. Using the Strategic Objectives and the details supplied, develop at least two short-term goals for each strategic objective that should be completed the first year
