  • Compare what you hear and observe to the Criteria for Major Depressive Episode listed in Table 7.1 in your text.

  • Give examples of the patient’s communication (both verbal and nonverbal) which meet the Criteria in the table. For example, the patient describes her fatigue with specific examples, but her fatigue is also reflected in the flat way that she speaks.
