Assignment 1: Prospectus Project Task XIII
Peer Review
This final course assignment will provide you with the opportunity not only to learn a great deal about various statistical methods, but it will also allow you to offer useful feedback to your classmates.
Using the Discussion Area, select the prospectus paper submitted by your partner and review it in a detailed manner.
After you’ve reviewed the prospectus paper, provide a one- to two-page objective feedback in Microsoft Word. When writing your feedback, consider the clarity, logic, and appropriateness of each of the following:
- Definition of the problem
- Conceptual/theoretical/empirical definitions of variables
- Statement of hypotheses/questions of study
- Description of the design of study
- Representativeness of sample, sampling techniques, and justification of the sample size (to match design)
- Operational definitions of dependent variables (DVs), predictor variables, or interdependent variables, including measurement techniques, supportive information on reliability, validity, and appropriateness to the sample
- Operational definition of independent variables (IVs) in experimental design, including treatment levels, content, and intensity
- Procedures for carrying out the study
- Justification and descriptions of the proposed analyses of the data
In addition, make sure your feedback includes at least two strengths of the proposed design and two aspects you believe could have been improved.
Name the file R7034_M8_A1_LastName_FirstInitial.doc and submit it to the appropriate Discussion Area by the due date assigned.
All written assignments and responses should follow APA rules for attributing sources.
