The concept for this design came from the idea of layering simplicity and complexity and how they can be present at the same time, complement one another and even overlap, leaving endless dimension and interest. The simplicity is set using a clean warm background, neutral and white colors for the finishes. At a glance, you see a blank canvas for the rich furnishings in the foreground, but when you look closer you see the complexity in the textures, patterns, grains, another angle looking back every time. For the furnishings, the backdrop plays its role in letting the pieces tell a story.
A mix of mid-century modern, artistic and modern with warm jewel tones, a contrast between light and dark elements and delicate accents. The simplicity in the directness of hard lines and angles mixed with soft but complex curves. The simplicity of the minimal furniture with the complexity of the detailed lighting. The theme is consistent throughout the design. The goal is to see something new every time a guest enters the space.
