With the development of social networking sites, online dating sites like eHArmony, Tinder etc., and other online communication tools, creating intercultural relationships via the internet is easier than it ever has been.
Some argue that it is impossible to establish a meaningful relationship with somebody you only meet online, whereas others believe that online relationships are not that different and it is easier for you to "be yourself" online.
What to do:
In a short 1 page response. First, discuss the complexities of communicating and developing relationships across cultures. Then discuss the complexities of communicating and developing online intercultural relationships. Finally, compare and contrast face-to-face and online intercultural relationships by discussing the similarities and differences of the two relationship types.
