You will CREATE A 6 pages assignment (not including title and reference pages) that compares and contrasts at least three decision-making approaches from a multidisciplinary perspective, applied to a significant nursing issue.

What to Include - REQUIREMENTS:

1. Introduction & Background

• Clearly describe your approved nursing issue.

• Provide context on why it matters across all levels of nursing (bedside, management, advanced practice).

• Support with a strong literature review that explains causes, implications, and proposed solutions.

2. Decision-Making Models

• Select 3 decision-making approaches (minimum 2 required, 3 ideal).

• Provide a detailed overview of each model and how it is used in practice.

• Apply each model to your chosen issue, showing how it would be approached by [for example]:

• A bedside/staff nurse

• A nurse leader/manager

• An advanced practice nurse (e.g., CNO, NP), etc..

3. Comparison & Prioritization

• Compare and contrast the three models.

• Identify a realistic funding source that could support your proposed solution (e.g., Sigma Theta Tau, HRSA, CDC, or local/state organizations).

• Explain why this funding source is appropriate and how it aligns with your project.

5. Conclusion

• Summarize your findings and emphasize how evidence-based decision-making supports safe, effective, and sustainable nursing practice.
