Write your analysis of the tone of each poem.  There are three poems. Response should be a minimum of three paragraphs with each paragraph being devoted to one poem.

For each poem, do two things:

1.  Describe in detail what you think is the tone of each poem.

2.  Try to explain how the poet creates that tone through word choice, syntax (sentence structure), punctuation, use of stanza breaks, rhythm, rhyme, imagery, metaphor, detail, action (events in the plot), etc.
