Literature question

“The Yellow Wall-Paper,” "The Southwest Chamber" and “A Rose for Emily” each have at least one crucial scene in room saturated with history where a corpse or ghost resides. We might fairly say that in these rooms the narrators encounter crucial aspects of the American past, aspects that have not yet been laid to rest. Choose one of these three stories and write an essay (about 3 paragraphs, no introduction or conclusion) in which you offer and support an interpretation of  what this specific encounter with the dead means.  In other words, what aspect of American history is this story highlighting by way of its representation of the dead? Be sure to use textual examples and analysis to support your points.
