Summary of Remaining Chapters Following this topic proposal, the project will expand Chapter I into a full introduction that refines the problem scope, research objectives, and hypotheses. Chapter II will include a literature review in detail, planned by parts of plan quality indicators, training and exercise practices, coordination with responders, and evidence of outcomes. Chapter III will show the findings of the structured review, which will include the thematic synthesis of the review and, in the relevant cases, will compare the quantitative findings of studies. The fourth chapter will be the discussion of conclusions, ethical issues connected with the investigation of safety in schools, and the recommendations that the local districts may adopt to enhance emergency preparedness and decrease casualties.

🎯 CORE FEEDBACK THEMES (What He’s Been Telling You All Along)
1. 🔴 Do NOT Misinterpret Sources
· Biggest early issue
· He couldn’t match your claims to sources
👉 What to do moving forward:
· Only say what the author ACTUALLY says
· Use: “suggests,” “indicates,” “reports” (not “proves”)
· Always double-check page numbers
2. 🟠 Go DEEP on Sources (Not Surface-Level)
· He wants explanation, not just summaries
👉 Your standard now:
· What does the study do?
· What did it find?
· Why does it matter to YOUR topic?
3. 🟡 ONE Source Per Paragraph (Depth > Quantity)
· He called you out for stacking sources
👉 For Chapters 3 & 4:
· One idea = one source
· Fully explain it before moving on
4. 🟢 Use MEAL Structure EVERY TIME
· M = Main idea
· E = Evidence (right after first sentence)
· A = Analysis
· L = Link to your research
👉 This is your blueprint for every paragraph
5. 🔵 Your Voice MUST Be Present
· Early feedback: “your voice is missing”
👉 Now:
· Don’t just report— interpret
· Add:
· “This suggests…”
· “This highlights…”
· “A limitation is…”
6. 🟣 Shorter, Tighter Paragraphs
· You were writing too long
👉 Target:
· 5–7 sentences
· One clear idea per paragraph
7. ⚫ NO First Person (“I”)
· Keep it scholarly
👉 Instead of:
· ❌ “I believe…”
· ✅ “The findings suggest…”
8. ⚠️ Avoid Overstatement
· You improved, but still watch this
👉 Don’t say:
· “proves”
· “causes”
👉 Say:
· “is associated with”
· “may contribute to”
9. 🔍 Stay Aligned to YOUR Research Problem
· Everything must tie back to:
· staff readiness
· response performance
· casualty reduction
👉 If it doesn’t connect → cut it
🚀 WHAT THIS MEANS FOR CHAPTER 3
Chapter 3 = Findings / Analysis
Focus on:
· Clear themes (NOT summaries)
· Compare studies carefully
· Stay factual, no exaggeration
👉 Think:
“What does the literature consistently show?”
🚀 WHAT THIS MEANS FOR CHAPTER 4
Chapter 4 = Discussion / Conclusions
This is where your professor REALLY expects growth:
You must:
· Interpret results (your voice 🔥)
· Connect findings to real-world schools
· Discuss:
· limitations
· ethical considerations
· practical recommendations
👉 Think:
“So what? Why does this matter?”
🧠 FINAL CHECKLIST BEFORE YOU WRITE
Before every paragraph ask:
✔️ Is this ONE source? ✔️ Did I explain it clearly? ✔️ Did I analyze it (my voice)? ✔️ Did I link it to my research problem? ✔️ Am I overstating anything?
