Literature

 Read "Jealous Husband Returns in Form of a Parrot" to find whether there is trustworthy evidence that the wife was, in fact, cheating.  Also, look closely at the end of the story with an eye toward whether the husband/parrot is learning anything (about himself), and if he is learning anything, or accepting anything, what is it?  If you find that he is not learning, cite evidence for your case.
