For this week's assignment, you will write the story of how you learned to read. Questions to guide your thinking include the following:

•What connections did you make to this week’s readings and your own literacy journey?

•How was your experience similar to or different from what you read about this week?

•How were you taught to read?

•What did you like to read?

•Were you read to as a child?

Follow the steps below to complete this assignment:

1. Create a new document of your choosing (Word, Google Docs, Open Office - anything that can be saved/exported to PDF format). 
2. Write your essay. Make sure that it is between 400-500 words. 
3. Save your essay as a PDF file with the naming convention Lit_Narrative_FirstNameLastName. If your name is Walter Payton, your document name would be Lit_Narrative_WalterPayton. 
4. Upload your saved document to the upload interface below.
