Mayan gods and goddesses are very much a part of this text.  Their interactions with one another and later with humans form a major part of our reading.  How are the gods and goddesses portrayed in this text?  How are those portrayals similar to or different from other representations of gods we have encountered?

After you have posted your discussion, make sure you reply to or comment on at least one of your classmates' posts. Each response should be detailed: a comment such as "good post" or "I don't agree" is not developed; why is it good or why don't you agree? Feel free to engage in dialogue with more students if you wish.
