After Reading Chapter 3 of the book Stiff, entitled “Life After Death”, what have you learned about burial and funeral processes in the United States? Why is it important to research human decomposition?
Have you made any decisions about your own burial/end of life process? Would you want to be buried, cremated, or other options? Now that you have learned about the process of embalming, would you want to be embalmed? Your initial post should be a minimum of 150 words and you should respond in a meaningful way to at least two other student’s post.
My family practices being embalmed and buried on the third day therefore I tend to follow. Unless I have an unexpected death then I would like an autopsy to be done. The only thing that I will not do is hold a funeral or other type of gathering.
