Discuss the following statement using examples from your geographic area which include NPOs:

"The story of state and local governments over the past two decades has been one of transformation. They have shed their backward ways, reformed their institutions and emerged as capable and proactive.” (Bowman & Kearny, 2014, pg. 22).

Your assignment must:

 Be a minimum of 600 words.

 Include an introduction which summarizes the main points of the scholarly activity and identifies the relevance of

the assignment to the course topic(s).

 Analyze and explain how you understand the above-mentioned statement.

 Be typed, double-spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; citations

and references must follow APA format.

Include a cover page containing the tile of the assignment (Unit I-Scholarly Activity I), the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required assignment page length.
